In-Person Playing of Instruments

Unfortunately, Mr. Philips received a notice from the District that students aren’t allowed to play their instruments at the football game. Their reason is that the LA County Dept of Public Health doesn’t have clear guidelines for playing wind instruments. Mr. Philips is working on a plan to honor the seniors this Friday at the football game even though the band, as a whole, is not allowed to attend. More details coming soon.

Slate of nominees

Nominations for next year’s Booster Board were solicited in a previous post. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the Booster meeting on April 20th. The slate of nominees is:

• President: Tamara Evans
• 1st VP: Nicole Foster
• 2nd VP: Zaneta Bosley
• Treasurer: Leslie Watkins
• Financial Secretary: Lisa Villamor
• Recording Secretary: Noemy Baiza
• Corresponding Secretary: Laura Brim

Following the election of next year’s Board, the incoming Booster President will appoint volunteers to the following positions: Parliamentarian, Ways & Means Officer, Color Guard/ Drumline/ Orchestra Liaisons, and chairpersons for standing committees such as Historian, Uniforms, and Equipment Transportation. If you are interested in any of those positions, reach out to a Board member for more info.

Monthly Booster Meeting

All corps parents are invited to join us for our monthly Booster Meeting Tuesday, April 20th at 7:30 pm in your home.
