Lunch – Test on the second strain of the march
7 – Until 5:30 – Outside reviewing opener

Tuesday 8/30
1 – Under our tree working ballad and closer 
Lunch – Test on the second strain of the march
Afterschool – Sectionals on everything – memorizing ballad and closer

Wednesday 8/31
1 – Under our tree with all music 
Lunch – Test on the second strain of the march
7 – Until 5:30 – Get opener off metronome, work pulse, teach opening ballad set(s)?

Thursday 9/1 – 1:16 Day – “Back to School Night” 
1 – Under our tree working SSB and all pep tunes  
4:30 – Return to MHS in your Band shirts – 
5:10 – Playing ALL of our music and show for families coming to BTS Night – boosters are selling food…buy it from them! 
6:00 – Play SSB to open ceremonies, then you are done

Friday – 9/2
1 – Sectionals on the closer

Saturday – 9/3
You are off! Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend

Sunday – 9/4 – If you bought a ticket from Mia…
John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl 
3:45 – Arrive at MHS, Mr. Saunders is the teacher to accompany you on the bus. Nathan Banegas is also going. Wear comfortable clothing, but you might bring a sweater or sweat jacket as it cools down in the evening.  You may bring cooler or backpack with food for yourself or bring money/Debit Card to buy food there.  
4:00 – Get on bus…it will take a long time to get there…please use the restroom before you leave
5:30 – Arrive at the Hollywood Bowl – You will receive a ticket to get in from Mrs. Verayo

7:30 – Concert begins
9:30 – Concert over, stay together to get back on bus
11:00 – Return to MHS

9 – Home Football vs. Lakewood at Ron Yary Stadium – Parents drop off at 5:00 PM – Game starts at 7:00 PM.  Pick your child up at 9:45 PM.  Make sure you eat dinner before arriving to the stadium.    
10 – SATURDAY – (PANCAKE BREAKFAST) All students are asked to sell 2 tickets
16 – Home Football vs. El Rancho at Ron Yary Stadium – Parents drop off at 5:00 PM – Game starts at 7:00 PM.  Pick your child up at 9:45 PM.  Make sure you eat dinner before arriving to the stadium.  It’s also Junior Band Night!
17 – Pep Band playing at St. Bernard’s 5:00 PM – More details to follow
20 – Booster Meeting 7:00PM 
23 – BYE Week for Football – no game 
24 – SATURDAY – Mandatory Morning Field Rehearsal 8:00 to Noon
30 – Away Football @ Warren HS – Call time is 5:30 PM – We will take school busses and return by 10:00 PM

October 
7 – End of the first Quarter 
7 – Home football vs. La Mirada HS @ Ron Yary and its Senior Night! 
8 – MHS CSBC – Field Show Tournament at Ron Yary Stadium. ALL FAMILIES, plan to volunteer at this field show we are hosting!
10 – NO SCHOOL – Indigenous People’s Day – Morning Pictures at Ron Yary Stadium and afternoon rehearsal there until 5:00 PM 
14 – Homecoming vs. Dominguez – Assembly, Parade and Game 
15 – YOU ARE OFF – PSAT Test and go to the dance 
18 – Booster Meeting 7:00 PM
21 – Depart for Las Vegas! 
22 – Championships at Arbor View HS, Las Vegas 
23 – Return from Las Vegas 
28 – Away Football at Paramount HS 
29 – CSBC show @ Huntington Beach HS (Morning Rehearsal and Late Afternoon Show)

November 
2 – SCSBOA MAYFAIR SHOW AT RON YARY – WE HOST!!
5 – CSBC Show @ Gahr HS (Morning Rehearsal and Late Afternoon Show)
12 – CSBC Division Finals – TBA

December
3 – Peninsula “Holiday of Lights Parade” – Evening 
4 – 605 ROSE PARADE MASS BAND AUDITION RECORDING DAY – MORE INFO TO FOLLOW

20 – Winter Concert – Gym 7:00 PM
