Week 9 – October 7 – 12, 2019 (and Monday the 14th)
End of the 1st Quarter

Lunch – Do something to be BOX 5
7 – Outside reviewing drill/visuals

Tuesday –
1 – Outside with the show
Lunch – Please practice at lunch today – STAMINA
2:45 to 5:00 PM – Percussion with Harry and Nico

Wednesday – Bring Water Jugs!
1 – Outside with the show
Lunch – Practice on your own
7 – Outside – Entire Show!

Friday – 12:16 Day (Football has BYE) – Bring Water Jugs – CARL’S JR FUNDRAISER ON SOUTH AND WOODRUFF – CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD AND PRINT FLYER – GO AFTER REHEARSAL. IT MAY BE TOO BUSY AT LUNCH TIME.

1:15 – 3:15 PM – Full Rehearsal

Saturday – The Gahr HS FST – Click here for more information about the show
9:00 – 11:30 – Full Field Rehearsal
Go home – Rest – Shower

4:00 PM – Have your parents drop you off at Gahr HS Stadium (11111 Artesia Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703) wearing your band shirt bringing your: water jugs, shoes, socks and all white gloves. Make sure you eat before you get to the stadium or buy food long before call time. Help unload the trailer. Section leaders: Please find an area to put your stuff neatly and give your section enough room to dress. Please come to the stadium with your hair up.
4:45 – Dress – white gauntlets and white sash
5:15 – Dressed with make up on and hair up to visual block
6:10 – Restrooms/Move to Area C
6:25 – Warm Up
7:20 – Full ensemble run
7:45 – Pit at Gate
7:52 – At the gate
8:00 PM – Perform Show
8:15 – Return to trailer, put stuff away, remove gauntlets and march back into stadium for awards
9:00 – Awards
9:30 – Finish changing and have your parents pick you up from Gahr

Monday, October 14 – We are taking formal band pictures and then rehearsing at Ron Yary Stadium from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will be given envelopes to order pictures, but can also order online. The deadline to order online is Sunday, 10/13, at midnight. Click here for ordering info.

  1. Bring water jugs
  2. Bring a hat/sun screen to wear after pictures
  3. Bring a snack for yourself and a lunch or money to eat lunch across the street
  4. Bring black shoes
  5. Bring black socks
  6. IF YOU ARE IN JAZZ BAND, BRING ALL YOUR JAZZ DRESS CLOTHES TOO!
  7. Wear Band shirt/shorts to wear underneath uniform
  8. NO Gloves unless you want them for your individual pictures

8:00 AM – Have your parents drop you off at Ron Yary Stadium (behind the home bleachers).

  • First – CHANGE INTO UNIFORMS FOR GROUP PICTURE
  • Second – LINE UP SMALLEST TO TALLEST
  • Third – AFTER THE BIG PICTURE, GRAB YOUR INSTRUMENT
  • Fourth – EVERYONE WILL STAND IN LINE FOR INDIVIDUAL PICTURE FOR OUR PANORAMA PICTURE – YES, EVERYONE MUST DO THIS!
  • Fifth – WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR PANORAMA PICTURE, YOU CAN THEN GET IN THE OTHER LINE TO TAKE INDIVIDUALS AND GROUP/SECTION PICTURES OTHERWISE YOU MAY CHANGE
  • Sixth – IF YOU ARE IN JAZZ BAND, YOU NEED TO CHANGE INTO YOUR BLACK CLOTHES/TIES AND LINE UP FOR GROUP AND PANORAMA PICTURES

If you are done with pictures, you are going in large group sectionals
11:00 – Group activity with Mr. Philips and recap from Saturday
11:30 – Lunch
12:30 – Full Field Rehearsal
5:00 PM – Rehearsal over, please have your parents pick you up.
