4000 people came to Ron Yary today for the 17th Annual Mayfair “Battle of the Bands” in crazy heat! 31 bands came and played their guts out. I am extremely grateful to every single Mayfair Parent, lead by our booster president, Deanne Thompson, for their tireless effort to be gracious hosts for our visitors. I am also thankful for my wonderful staff for taking care of the band and the Monsoon Marching Corps for their magical performance tonight. A huge shout out to our custodian Carlos Barbiaux for giving his time to help make our logistics happen. Thank you to Nikki Bakker, our band secretary, for all her behind the scenes work. There are so many people who gave 18 + hours today and to each of you, please accept my thanks for everything you did for us. I am a blessed man and thankful to God for answering all my prayers.
